A sandboxy, randomized crawl through streets beset by flail-wielding tykes. (Yes, it is as dark and hilarious as it sounds.)
Writing:
Multiple tables for different types of encounters, suggested destinations, and a grim finale
Art/design:
Primarily textual, but well-organized to do its work effectively
Usability:
Facilitates linear flow through the document

Jólakötturinn / Yule Cat

Concept: “The Jólakötturinn stalks the Dying World devouring anyone caught wearing old and tattered clothes at Jól.”
Content:
A seriously beastly monster
Writing:
Straightforward but with plenty of character
Art/design:
Nice adaptation of Le Chat Noir design
Usability:
This cat hates your holiday sweater—it’s as simple as that

Krampus

Concept: “The Christmas rumors are true. The Krampus does exist.”
Content:
Stats and a hook for the race of kidnapping, meat-hungry krampi
Writing:
A balance of mechanics and descriptive text
Art/design:
Fits lots of text onto the page alongside some nice art
Usability:
Straightforward but certain aspects may be off-putting to some players

Niklaus

Concept: “As snow falls on the city, the people whisper of a murderer who has recently taken to the streets.”
Content:
A murderous pseudo-Santa possessed by an alien entity known only as the Christmas Spirit
Writing:
Twists St. Nick to fit right into the Dying World
Art/design:
Exactly what you’d expect of a Mörk Borg murderhobo Santa
Usability:
More elaborate than some monsters but not overly complex

Omentide

Concept: “An egg hunt riddled with danger and reward!”
Content:
Lore, NPCs, items, and schedule for a high-stakes scavenger hunt in the Dying Land
Writing:
A balance of lore and mechanics with lots of character folded into both
Art/design:
Laid out for easy reference, with graphic elements that add strange, supernatural character
Usability:
A straightforward toolkit for a grimly humorous adventure

Snowman

Concept: “A snowman makes for a powerful guardian in frosty dungeons and snow-covered towers.”
Content:
Contains a stat block, descriptive text, and adventure hook
Writing:
Puts a sadistic twist on a classic holiday icon
Art/design:
Fits well with the creature concept
Usability:
For optimal efficiency, set thermostat below 30° Fahrenheit

The Bunnyman

Concept: “Have you fvckers got my eggs?”
Content:
A crazed, skin-suit wearing axe murderer
Writing:
All mechanics, with a table of curses for whoever kills hem
Art/design:
Putrid, visceral graphics in line with the concept
Usability:
Escalating attack damage will require a bit more attention from GMs; small script may be challenging to read in print

Unholy Night

Concept: “The house is an old stone and wood structure. Icicles line the eaves – glittering in the firelight from within. The smell of burning oak fills the air and fills you with hope. Shelter. Warmth…..maybe even food.”
Content:
A frozen, Yule-themed adventure filled with murderous holiday cheer
Writing:
Provides lots of descriptive text for the GM to use and adapt
Art/design:
Graphically conservative, but effectively conveys the atmosphere of particular scenes
Usability:
Minimal mechanics; emphasizes interaction and narrative-building
