Hekate V. Lunasri

Bon Terry

Concept: “Undying and cowardly, this legendary spirit seeks eternally for the ‘sinless one’, hoping to carve out their heart, and offer it up as a sacrifice before Nechrubel, to plead departure from this dying world.”
Content:
A sad, death-bereft NPC with a knack for retribution
Writing:
Provides some folksy lore and a straightforward stat block
Art/design:
Clear division between lore and stats with a deceptively innocuous illustration; brooding greens create a murky, pelagic feel
Usability:
Despite modest stats, the ability to steal PCs’ Omens and break PCs with no Omens may make Bon Terry a challenging adversary

Death Is But a Doorway

Concept: “This set of rules bridges character death to a multitude of undead classes and fates worse than death.”
Content:
Why settle for a boring death when you can adopt a different class and get back in the game?
Writing:
Guides the player with a series of questions posed by a surprisingly sympathetic demon
Art/design:
Designed for easy use and readability; splashes of color add emphasis
Usability:
An excellent resource for matching fateful deaths with meaningful character (re)creation

Dïce Borg

Concept: “Completely remove all dice that are not d6 from the world’s Mörkiest Borg!”
Content:
Mechanics for playing using only d6(s)
Writing:
Clear explanation of some relatively complex dice mechanics
Art/design:
Condensed version includes some graphic stylization; main document uses clear, traditional design and layout fitting the content’s nature
Usability:
Includes quick-start bookmark as well as fully elaborated rules and tables; throwing knife not included

Eldritch Earthbound

Concept: “Not all earthbound are cursed, diseased, or foul. And in fact very few have actually traded their soul for terrible secrets and power. You, however, have.”
Content:
Includes standard stat adjustments and some diverse class features along with a table for rolling your malefactor and conferred title, and an Outcast Score mechanic that affects certain rolls
Writing:
Captures and conveys an attitude of bitter retrospection
Art/design:
Clean, easy-to-read text with some entertaining design flourishes and enough diversity to make an overall graphically interesting document
Usability:
Outcast Score is integrated seamlessly, keeping complexity at a standard level

Mutated Goblin

Concept: “The goblin-curse has twisted your body and racked your mind. Food. Eat. Bite.”
Content:
A goblin character class with some really compelling features and callbacks to other published adventures
Writing:
Simultaneously grim and playful—just like a goblin
Art/design: Relatively conservative (by Mörk Borg standards) but very clean and easy to read
Usability:
Offers a host of character abilities but still not as complex as a certain dragon game

Pötatö Borg

Concept: It's Just a Potato.
Content: Starchy. Bland.
Writing: No writing at all.
Art/design: Morbid and horrifying. Nightmare fuel.
Usability:  It is said one can boil them, though I prefer to mash them. Some will stick them in a stew.

Pötatö Borg is an independent production by the Ex Libris team and is not affiliated with Ockult Örtmästare Games or Stockholm Kartell. It is published under the MÖRK BORG Third Party License. MÖRK BORG is copyright Ockult Örtmästare Games and Stockholm Kartell.

Svið in a Ditch

Concept: “Deep within the cloughs of Bergen Chrypt there lies an inverted tower beneath the skull of a basilisk, known only as THEY, and in this inverted tower, at its deepest recess, is the Ljusgvare: a scroll that is said to be able to end the greatest of calamities.”
Content:
A high-concept hexcrawl across the Dying Land and through Bergen Chrypt; populated by a wide and colorful cast of characters
Writing:
Provides detailed descriptions of locations, insights into NPCs, and creates a sense of interconnection between encounters
Art/design:
Text heavy, but necessarily so; color and visual choices keep the pages interesting and lively
Usability:
Contains links to other useful supplements; also available in simple and plaintext formats for easier readability

Südglan Leadmaster

Concept: “When Südglans sank, the world lost a marvelous artifice for handling water and waste, known only as the guarded art of the Leadmasters.”
Content:
A feature-laden class inspired by a certain 1993 work of cinematic art; also includes monsters inspired by a certain 1983 piece of videogame history
Writing:
Presents a useful class while still keeping its inspiration visible
Art/design:
Incorporates iconic graphic elements to emphasize its source material
Usability:
“This is an unfinished class, but it is a playable one.”

The Jackanapes

Concept: “You bear one thing against the odds, a special talent.”
Content:
A fairly variable class for players who want more of a challenge
Writing:
Standard class description and rules with a d66 feat table
Art/design:
Primarily devoted to usability and navigability
Usability:
"Jackanapes" is singular (if you were wondering)

Wayward Wickhead

Concept: “Wick-Head, a-Wick-Head the longer you stand, the shorter our life grows!”
Content:
Converts the iconic wickhead enemy/hireling to a playable character class
Writing:
Captures the playful, sinister weirdness portrayed in the core book with creative prose and appropriate, compelling mechanics
Art/design:
Visual elements aid navigation and add flavor alongside the digital collage illustration
Usability:
Also includes a plain text version for easier reading
